Lucknow, December 31 : A 23-day International Children’s Camp has commenced under the aegis of City Montessori School, where young delegates from 7 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, and India, are living together under one roof, bringing to life the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is One Family). This camp, being held from 27 December 2024 to 18 January 2025, features delegations of four children aged 11 to 12 years from each participating country, accompanied by their group leaders. Additionally, junior counselors aged 16 to 17 years are also participating to ensure smooth organization and effective communication among the students. This information was given by Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS. Mr. Khanna highlighted that the purpose of bringing together children from diverse cultures, languages, civilizations, and traditions in such an international camp is to nurture the tender hearts of young children with the values of brotherhood, world peace, and global unity.
Mr. Khanna informed that the camp has been named ‘Humming Village’, where numerous creative activities promoting global unity and peace will be organized. These activities aim to instill global values in the children while fostering intercultural understanding. This camp is truly a multilingual, multicultural, and multinational event that will help forge deep bonds among children from various countries. In a highly creative and encouraging environment, children will not only freely express their thoughts but also learn about and appreciate each other’s cultures, traditions, and customs. This International Children’s Camp indeed offers a glimpse of a miniature world.
