CMS Rajajipuram Campus organizes Music Workshop

Lucknow, 30 November : City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I organized a grand Western Classical Music Workshop, where a large number of students, teachers, and music enthusiasts not only delved into the intricacies of Western classical music but also enjoyed the various forms of Western music. This music workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), London. Examiners from ABRSM, including Mr. Philip Walsh, Mr. Robert Shaw, Ms. Tsze Yenn Yong and the Managing Director of the India National Youth Orchestra and Chorus, Ms. Sonia Khan, engaged in in-depth discussions on music education. They also addressed the audience's questions, providing detailed insights. Eminent musicians from London delivered comprehensive lectures on composition, performance and ensemble presentations during the workshop.

            A notable highlight of this workshop was the online presence of ABRSM's Chief Executive, Mr. Chris Cobb; Deputy Chief Examiner, Mr. Mervyn Cousins and musician Mr. James Welburn, who joined from London. Through their valuable addresses, they inspired and encouraged the students and music enthusiasts. In his address, Mr. Chris Cobb emphasized that music education has emerged as a promising career option and is gaining significant interest among the younger generation. He stressed tailoring music education to align with students' interests and highlighted the vital role music plays in nurturing high moral values and human qualities.

            Earlier, CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, extended a warm welcome to ABRSM examiners, including Chief Executive Mr. Chris Cobb. Prof. Kingdon congratulated students participating in the ABRSM examinations, wished them a bright future, and expressed confidence that this workshop would play a pivotal role in honing their musical talents. She stated that students would learn many new skills and refine their musical abilities by understanding the nuances of music.
Mrs. Nisha Pandey, Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, described the workshop as a splendid opportunity for students, teachers, and music enthusiasts to interact directly with world-renowned musicians. She expressed her belief that the workshop would be a memorable experience for all participants interested in music.
